Copycat Starbucks Gingerbread Loaf
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 1/4 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon orange extract, optional
1 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon baking soda
FROSTING
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
2 1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9 inch square pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt.
Then set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in orange extract.
Mix baking soda into applesauce and stir into creamed butter mixture.
Add flour mixture. Mix until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 50 minutes or until a
toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean
FROSTING:
Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and orange extract. Slowly beat in confectioner’s sugar.
Once the cake has cooled, evenly spread the frosting on top. Decorate with chopped candied orange peel or candied ginger .
Copycat Sonic Drive-In Ocean Water

3 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon coconut extract
2 drops blue food coloring
2 12-ounce cans cold Sprite
ice, to fill 2 glasses
1. Combine the water and the sugar in a small bowl. Microwave for 30-45 seconds, then stir to dissolve all of the sugar. Allow this syrup to cool.
2. Add coconut extract and food coloring to the cooled syrup. Stir well.
3. Combine the syrup with two 12-ounce cans of cold Sprite. Divide and pour over ice. Add straws and serve.
Makes two 12-ounce servings.
Copycat Taco Bell Beef Chalupa Supreme
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup. flour
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1/2 cup water
flat bread (pita will work)
oil (for deep-frying)
sour cream
shredded lettuce
shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese
diced tomatoes
1. Mix dried onion with water in a small bowl and let sit for five minutes.
2. Combine ground beef, flour, chili powder, paprika and salt. Add
onions and water then mix. In a skillet, cook beef mixture. Stir
often while cooking to prevent large chunks from forming; it should be like a paste.
3. Remove from heat but keep warm.
4. In a deep-fryer, or a skillet, deep fry the bread for 30 seconds. Let
drain on paper towels.
5. Make Chalupas starting with meat, then sour cream, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes in that order. Top with hot sauce or salsa, to taste.
Serves 4-6
McDonald’s Egg McMuffin
1 jumbo egg1 English muffin
butter
1 slice American cheese
1 slice Canadian bacon
1 “12×12″ sheet of wax paper
non stick cooking spray
egg ring, or a biscuit cutter
1. Preheat electric griddle to 275 degrees F. Toast English muffin on both sides, pressing lightly to toast evenly. Set aside.
2. Increase20temperature of griddle; lay egg ring on griddle and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Crack the egg into the ring and break yolk with fork. (If desired, beat in small bowl and pour into ring).
3. Butter insides of toasted English muffin and place cheese slice on bottom half.
4. Place a slice of Canadian bacon on the griddle; cook about 30 seconds per side.
5. The bottom of the egg should begin to firm after a minute or two of cooking; carefully remove the ring, leave the egg on the griddle. You may need to run a small sharp knife around the inside rim of the egg ring. Carefully turn over; cook the other side for 30 to 45 seconds.
6. Remove egg to bottom of English muffin (place on top of cheese slice); place bacon on top of egg; top with crown of English muffin.
